RE: Error installing redmine with bundle install - Added by Michael Reed over 4 years ago No, Just following the tutorial. I'm on Ruby 2.1.0 and the solution (or workaround?) is gem install bundle, which today installs 1.5.2, followed by bundle install, which works now. I've bundled the latest version of better_errors, but I still get the standard red errors. Just tracked a server hanging issue to better_errors. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13961007/bundler-cannot-find-a-version-of-a-gem-but-gem-install-with-the-same-name-works
Gems installed as part of the ruby install process are not found by bundler version 1.5. Luckily rails restart should be enough. It seems like some idempotent action occurs when I trigger that method, as it only happens the first time I run it. The required rvm line is as the bottom of my .bashrc file and I've manually sourced it before with no different. Turns out I did a bundle install --without=... Using 4.1.1 and still broken achempion commented May 12, 2014 @RustComet I've created a new app with rails 4.1.1 and better_errors gem (master branch) and all works fine.
hrach commented Jul 12, 2014 I'm getting this error too. We recommend upgrading to the latest Safari, Google Chrome, or Firefox. If bundler needs to update a gem that another gem depends on, it will let you know after the update has completed. https://github.com/bundler/bundler/issues/3152 Skip to content Ignore Learn more Please note that GitHub no longer supports old versions of Firefox.
stop Stop all spring processes for this project. In other words, you don't have to guess which versions of the dependencies you should install. RE: Error installing redmine with bundle install - Added by Michael Reed over 4 years ago Thanks William, I agree. Using dependencies like rack ~> 1.5.2 and versioning code in a SemVer compliant way mostly solves this problem, but it assumes universal compliance.
I'll need to do more testing but it seems to be something! 👍 1 itaysk commented Jun 14, 2016 • edited I got rails to work after doing chmod -R any suggestions would be appreciated. share|improve this answer answered Dec 19 '12 at 21:07 leifcr 888813 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote Do you have rubygems listed as a remote source? If a transparent update fails, your application will fail to boot, and bundler will print out an error instructing you to run bundle install.

skaes commented Dec 27, 2013 Fixes it for me. I would prefer to keep with mysql since I know it if possible. For instance, if you add mysql to your Gemfile, and have already installed it in your system, you can boot your application without running bundle install, and bundler will persist the Source Error message: Could not find i18n-0.7.0 in any of the sources (Bundler::GemNotFound) Tried all the troubleshooting steps indicated but the error still remains the same.

The tutorial I was using didn't discuss postgresql at all. it seems like only the binary wrappers are present, but the gem itself is missing, which is really odd jhubbardsf commented May 30, 2016 gem which rails outputs ERROR: Can't find Bundler can run without connecting to the internet (or the RubyGems server) if all the gems you need are present in that folder and checked in to your source control. http://nyfreewifi.com/cannot-find/cannot-find-gem-for-rails-1-2-3.html narzero commented May 13, 2014 +1 Using Ruby 2.1.1 + Rails 4.1.1 with Fig 0.4.1 group :development do gem 'better_errors' gem 'binding_of_caller' end Still seeing standard error pages on localdocker:3000 FlyboyArt
